I’ve crewed in Brussels for SIC, SIC Notícias, CNN Portugal, Telecinco, Antena 3 and Cuatro — EU politics, NATO and breaking news — as a camera operator. I’ll usually film on the channel’s kit or bring my own camera, audio and lighting, and I turn footage around fast: a live hit, a cut package for filing, or both from the same day.

Can you deliver same-day for filing?

Yes. Editing is part of what I do — quick cuts sent for same-day filing, a live hit when that’s the story, or a finished package. Fast turnaround on a news day is the norm, not the exception.
