Privacy Policy

The only personal data this site collects is what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address and your message details. It is used for one thing: replying to you about your project. It is never added to a mailing list and never used for advertising. Two services help handle that message, and both are described below: the email delivery and the spam check.

Form messages are delivered by email through Sweego, an EU based email service. Your message travels through their servers only for delivery, like any email would.

To keep the inbox usable, the name and email address you submit in the contact form are checked by Akismet, a spam filtering service run by Automattic in the United States. Only those two fields are sent, and only for that check. If you would rather not have that happen, simply write directly to me@tlopes.me instead.

Visiting this site sets no cookies. Nothing is written to your device to identify you, which is also why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Visits are counted with Independent Analytics, which runs on this site own server. It uses no cookies, cannot identify you and does not follow you across other websites. What it records is aggregate: which pages are opened, which site you arrived from, and the type of browser and device. Nothing is sent to Google or to any advertising company.

The site keeps two small preferences in your browser local storage so that it does not repeat itself: which loading sentence you saw last, and which hidden message was shown. Each one is a single number. They contain no personal data, are never sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Portfolio videos are hosted on Bunny Stream, an EU based video platform. The player loads together with the page, so your browser contacts their servers when you open a case study, whether or not you press play. Bunny receives the technical information any server receives, such as your IP address.

Fonts, scripts, styles and images are all served from this domain. There are no external CDNs, no Google Fonts and no social media trackers, so reading a page here does not announce your visit to anyone else. The video player above is the only exception.

You can ask at any time what data of yours is held here, ask for it to be corrected or ask for it to be deleted. One email to me@tlopes.me is enough.
