Overview

Two days, two very different moods. Day one brought national coalitions from across Europe together to share what’s working in digital skills and what still isn’t. Day two turned to solutions — a hands-on workshop, an awards ceremony with figures from the European Commission, and the launch of a new skills academy — each evening closing with networking.

Rather than cutting it all into a single recap, the whole shoot was mapped in advance so two days of material could become a set of focused films, each with its own audience.

What I Delivered

I edited all 18 videos. On location I was an additional camera for b-roll and cutaways — the interviews themselves were filmed by the interview team.

  • Three wrap-up films — the awards ceremony, the skills-academy launch, and the national-coalitions summit
  • Four European Commission interviews
  • Five national-coalition interviews
  • A joint jury film — several jury interviews cut into one
  • Five award-winner interviews
  • A 15-second reel, cut and delivered the same day

Why This Piece Matters

Planned as a content system

Knowing the deliverables before day one changed what got covered and how it was cut. Each moment had a specific film in mind, so two days on the ground became 18 finished videos — not one long video that struggles to find viewers.

A second angle that adds life

Coming in as an additional camera for b-roll and cutaways gave the interviews room to breathe — the reactions, the room, the detail — so the final edits feel dynamic, not static talking-heads.
